Artificial Medical Intelligence, Inc. has been a software developer of health information technology solutions since its incorporation in 2002.
AMI initially targeted the labor intensive medical coding process, with its premier offering, a proprietary Computer Assisted Coding (CAC) solution.
Founded in 2002 by Dr. Andrew Covit and his brother Stuart Covit, AMI set out to automate the time consuming and manual processes in the healthcare environment
From their initial conversations, things quickly evolved into a broader discussion about what if we could take a medical record and automatically assign codes to it? And then over the next few months the team began creating a piece of software that could autonomously take a medical record and assign codes.
After creating an MVP prototype of the software in just about six weeks, AMI quickly realized that there was a market need for AMI. AMI has since deployed its technology platform to hundreds of hospitals and healthcare sites across the country to streamline and automate the medical coding process and well as branching out into new verticals such as auditing for both the payer and provider markets.
AMI’s vision has remained the same since its inception, utilizing technology to make healthcare more efficient.
